About

I’m currently building Amber, a generative media startup where humans and AI agents collaborate to build immersive worlds. I’ve also built other projects on visual storytelling like storyforest.io.

My Research Interests

My research focuses on three main areas:

• Visual Understanding: How AI systems perceive and interpret visual information
• Agentic Capabilities: Building AI that can act on their environments, with a focus on vision tools
• Information Retrieval: Basically search, lots of image and video retrieval but also general web search

I also contribute to open source projects and love building tools that make AI more accessible and useful for everyone.

Stuff I’ve Done and Like to Do

• I went to Temple University for undergrad and grad school, finished with my PhD in Computer Science. At the same time I worked for 4 years as a Scientist at AWS mostly with the Life Sciences & Healthcare AI team. Led and worked on cool projects including building an AI platform to help map the human brain, AI data engineering workflows for medical document processing, and smarter indexing/search for large-scale image data.

• After school and AWS became a founder and still doing AI research adjacent to Amber

• Love traveling, been to 29 countries (hopefully 30 this year)!

• Was on a bollywood fusion dance team in college, was not on my bingo card but we learned

• Massive soccer fan, play every chance I get. Barcelona fan :)

What Drives Me

I think the world’s at an inflection point with AI. I want to be a part of the progress that uses AI to make the world better for people through creativity. If I help people express their creativity by bringing the worlds they have in their imagination to life, then I’ll be happy when I’m chilling in my cabin by the sea.
